Programmes: programme of studies offering Advanced Diploma, Diploma, Advanced Certificate and Certificate level courses, as well as short courses and distance mode courses at the following Schools and Institutions: (a) Education: primary and secondary teaching; (b) Finance and Administration: secretarial studies, law and management; (c) Industrial Development; (d) Marine Fisheries Studies: deep water tuna fisheries, inshore fisheries; (e) Natural Resources: agriculture and farming; (f) National Forestry Training Institute: forestry, community forestry; (g) Nursing and Health Studies: nursing, health inspection; (h) Humanities and Science; (i) Distance Education Centre: adult education courses.

Open to: nationals of the Pacific Island Territories, minimum age: 16 years; candidates must have reached secondary educational standard (Form 5) with good English; candidates wishing to enter the diploma programme must have either completed a relevant certificate programme, have GCE A-level on two subjects or equivalent, or be over 24 years of age; and hold a senior position in government or private business.

Duration: 1 to 2 years.

Financial assistance: New Zealand Third Country Awards may be available to students approved by their own governments; similarly the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation may sponsor approved students; applications for these awards may be made through candidate's own government.
