Subjects: Icelandic language, history and literature.
Open to: candidates in countries designated each year by the Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture to participate in the scholarship programme; the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture in each of the recipient countries selects a candidate for the award; working knowledge of English necessary.
Duration: 1 academic year from September to April/May; consent of the Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture necessary for the same student to receive the scholarship more than once; no one may receive the scholarship more than 3 times.
Applications: participating countries shall inform the Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of scholarship candidate nominees from their respective countries by 15 May at the latest.
