Open to: candidates must hold a secondary-school certificate (or equivalent); students who plan to complete their entire undergraduate education at the University of Latvia must pass the Latvian language test; international students who plan to study at the University of Latvia for up to one year and visiting students are not required to take entrance examinations.

Fees: tuition fee for international students: from 1210-3400 LVL, depending on programmes; exchange students are exempt from tuition fees and in the case of bilateral cooperation are entitled to a small scholarship of around 58 LVL (about US$120); special non-degree programme in Baltic Studies: current registration: 18 LVL; tuition fees: 90 LVL per course.
