Programmes: (a) M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in African studies: arts of Africa, music, dance and drama, African literature, social change, structure of African languages, African social and political systems, African and Ghanaian history, African economic systems; (b) Summer vacation introductory courses in African studies.

Open to: (a) nationals of all countries with first- and second-class degrees in any field of arts or social studies; (b) students and others interested in African studies.

Duration: (a) M.Phil. full-time not less than 2 academic years, part-time not less than 3 academic years; Ph.D. not less than 3 academic years; (b) in July/August.
